Who: Gene Fowler, founder of Fatkat Animation Studios
Where: Miramichi, New Brunswick
What: I saw the animation company profiled on CBC’s Land and Sea (watch the episode here) today, and the isolated (picturesque Miramachi boasts a population of 18 500) studio seemed like a really fun, inspiring place to work. The website is hilarious, too (select your IQ upon entering!), and you can see samples of their work there; they are working on a bunch of TV shows and commercials at the moment.
